Fresh renders of two upcoming mid-range smartphones from Xiaomiâs sub-brand POCO have surfaced online, offering a clearer look at what appears to be the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max ahead of their anticipated global debut.

The images, shared by X user @passionategkeez, show both devices in black, white and blue finishes. At a glance, the two phones are nearly indistinguishable. Each features a pill-shaped rear camera module housing a dual-camera setup, along with a clean, flat back design.
A closer look reveals a small but visible difference. The Poco X8 Pro Max appears to carry a dual LED flash, while the standard Poco X8 Pro uses a single LED unit. From the front, however, both models look largely identical, with uniform bezels and a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
Earlier certification sightings and Geekbench listings had already hinted at their development. More recent leaks have outlined what could be substantial hardware for both devices, particularly the Pro Max variant.
The Poco X8 Pro Max is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K TCL M10 OLED panel from TCL, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 2000 nits and 3840Hz PWM dimming. Under the hood, it is expected to run on the Dimensity 9500s chipset paired with an Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU, alongside LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
For photography, leaks point to a 50MP Light Hunter 600 main sensor with optical image stabilization, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 20MP OV20B sensor is said to handle selfies. The device may also include dual stereo speakers, LHDC 5.0 audio support and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity and durability features appear to be a focus. The Pro Max is expected to support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, while carrying IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. It is tipped to measure 8.15mm in thickness and weigh 219 grams.
The Poco X8 Pro, meanwhile, is expected to come with a slightly smaller 6.59-inch 1.5K TCL M10 OLED display, also rated at 120Hz and 2000 nits brightness. It may run on the Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor with a Mali-G720 MC8 GPU, supported by LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Its camera setup could include a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 20MP front-facing camera. Powering the device may be a 6,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 27W reverse charging.
The standard Pro is also expected to offer IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, along with a metal frame, NFC support, an IR blaster and an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. Connectivity may extend to Wi-Fi 6.
Both phones are expected to ship with Android 16 and HyperOS 3 out of the box. While the company has yet to confirm a launch date, the steady flow of certifications, benchmarks and now design renders suggests that an official announcement may not be far off.
