Acer has announced the Iconia X16, a 16-inch Android tablet with an OLED display and a built-in kickstand. The company introduced the tablet at its next@acer press conference in Berlin on September 2 during IFA 2026.

The X16 uses a 1,920 by 1,200 OLED panel. Acer’s announcement places it in the premium Iconia X series, alongside the updated 14-inch Iconia X14. Android Authority reported that the X16 is the new larger model in the range.

The tablet runs Android 16 and uses a MediaTek Helio G80 system-on-chip. That processor is also used in the other Iconia models Acer announced at the event, so the X16’s larger OLED display and physical design are its main points of separation.

Acer lists 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage for the X series. The tablet also has a microSD card slot. The company says the two USB-C ports have different jobs: one handles video input, while the other supports charging and data.

The X16 has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera, according to the independent report. It also includes four stereo speakers and an 8,000mAh battery. Acer says the tablet can run for up to 10 hours on a full charge.

A tripod-style kickstand is built into the design. Acer plans to offer an optional stylus and an attachable keyboard, allowing the same tablet to be used for note-taking, media viewing or light typing.

The Iconia X16 will be available in North America and EMEA in the fourth quarter of 2026. Acer has not announced pricing for the tablet. Android Authority reported that U.S. availability is expected between October and December, with the exact date still open.

The X16 is therefore a large-screen Android tablet with an OLED panel and useful display connectivity. Its final position in the market will depend on the price Acer sets and how the Helio G80 handles the company’s intended mix of education, entertainment and everyday tablet use.
