Acer has announced the PD163Q P3, a foldable triple-screen extender that connects to a laptop or other host device through USB-C. The company showed the product at its next@acer press conference in Berlin on September 2 during IFA 2026.

The unit uses three separate 15.6-inch Full HD IPS displays. Each panel is designed to work independently, letting a user keep different windows open across the extended setup instead of constantly switching between tabs.

Acer says the PD163Q P3 can connect with one USB-C cable. The company also includes an external USB-C power-delivery adapter for charging. ComputerBase reported that the device belongs to Acer’s group of display and connectivity products presented at IFA.

The screens support both extend and clone modes. Extend mode treats the panels as separate work areas, while clone mode can show the same content across displays when a presentation or shared view calls for it.

The extender folds for transport and uses a minimized-cable design. Acer says the setup can provide up to four total displays when paired with a laptop, counting the computer’s built-in screen. Brightness can be adjusted uniformly across all three panels.

The design is aimed at people who need more screen area away from a permanent desk. A travel workstation, a temporary office or a compact control setup could all use the three-panel layout, although the host computer must support the required display output.

Acer plans to launch the PD163Q P3 in North America in the first quarter of 2027 at a starting price of $349.99. The company lists €349 for EMEA and AUD 899 for Australia. It says final regional details may vary.

The PD163Q P3 is not a new laptop or a standalone computer. It is an accessory that expands a compatible system into a multi-screen workspace. Its practical appeal will depend on portability, desk space and the number of displays a user can run from the host device.
