Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has announced a major boost to btcl internet speed, increasing bandwidth by up to five times across existing packages while keeping monthly prices unchanged. The move is aimed at improving digital connectivity for users nationwide, the state-owned operator said in a press release today.

Rebranding and package revision
As part of the upgrade, BTCL has rebranded its long-running “Sulav” packages as the “Sashroyi” series to highlight the improved value. The enhanced btcl internet speed is expected to support online education, remote work, high-definition streaming and gaming without additional cost to customers.
Entry-level and campus packages upgraded
Under the revised structure, the Tk 399 “Sulav-5” package has been upgraded from 5 Mbps to 20 Mbps and renamed “Sashroyi-20”. The Tk 500 “Sulav-12” package now offers 25 Mbps, while the Tk 500 “Campus-15” package has been increased to 50 Mbps and renamed “Campus-50”, significantly improving btcl internet speed for students.
Mid-tier packages see sharp increases
Several mid-tier packages have received substantial upgrades. The Tk 800 “Sulav-15” package now delivers 50 Mbps, the Tk 1,050 “Sulav-20” package has jumped fivefold to 100 Mbps, and the Tk 1,150 package now provides 120 Mbps, reflecting a strong push to enhance btcl internet speed across categories.
Higher-tier users also benefit
Customers on higher-end plans will also enjoy faster connectivity. The Tk 1,300 package now offers 130 Mbps, the Tk 1,500 package provides 150 Mbps, and the Tk 1,700 “Sulav-50” package has been upgraded to 170 Mbps and rebranded as “Sashroyi-170”.
Commitment to service quality
BTCL said the initiative would ensure more reliable and high-quality internet services and contribute to the country’s digital transformation. The company added that customer satisfaction remains a top priority as it continues to improve btcl internet speed through customer-friendly initiatives.
BTCL’s latest revision significantly raises btcl internet speed across all major packages without increasing prices, rebranding its offerings to deliver faster, more reliable connectivity for a wide range of digital needs.
