Catherine Zeta-Jones is set to return to television this fall in Kill Jackie, a revenge thriller acquired by AMC+ for the United States after the series was first developed for Prime Video, where it will also stream in the UK and other territories.

Zeta-Jones plays Jackie Price, a retired drug smuggler who believes she has left her dangerous past behind. The story kicks into motion when Jackie discovers that a group of elite hitmen known as the Seven Demons have been hired to kill her, prompting her to hunt them down one by one before they can complete the job.
The eight-episode series is based on the novel The Price You Pay, written by Sunday Times best-selling author Nick Harkaway under the pen name Aidan Truhen. The show was co-created by Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth, known for his work on Gangs of London, Peter Lawson, a veteran of the John Wick franchise, and Damon Thomas, who previously worked on Killing Eve. That combination of credits signals the kind of stylized, action-driven tone the series is aiming for.
Zeta-Jones stars opposite Daniel Ings, who plays a key role alongside her in the cast. New first-look images released this week show Zeta-Jones in character as the glamorous, dangerous art dealer at the center of the story, continuing a rollout of promotional material ahead of the fall launch.
Kill Jackie is being produced by Fremantle and Steel Springs, and its acquisition by AMC+ gives the streamer another high-profile scripted series as it competes for subscribers in an increasingly crowded field of prestige thrillers built around a single star-driven premise.
The project has been in development for some time, with earlier first-look casting news dating back to last year before AMC+ finalized its U.S. streaming rights this summer. New promotional photos accompanying this week’s announcement mark the clearest look yet at the finished production ahead of its fall debut.
