Costco Canada recalls Alfa Croissants over mould risk

Distribution M.F.G Inc. is recalling 24-count packages of Alfa Croissants with cocoa cream filling sold at Costco Business Centres in Canada due to potential mould contamination.

The recall covers products with lot codes 10726 and 08626, corresponding to Costco item number 2077888. The affected croissants were sold at Costco Business Centre locations across Canada as well as through CostcoBusinessCentre.ca between June and July 2026.

The company issued the recall after identifying the mould risk in the affected lot codes, though it has not detailed how the contamination was discovered or whether any illnesses have been linked to the product. Consumers who purchased the affected croissants have been told not to consume, serve, sell or distribute the product.
