CUB organizes orientation program for freshers of BBA and EEE dept

ZOOMBANGLA DESK: The Orientation Program of newly admitted student of BBA and EEE department for Summer 2022 of Canadian University of Bangladesh was held on Thursday (June 16) at its Pragati Sarani campus auditorium.

Mr. Patrick Joseph, Virtual Dean, School of Science and Engineering of Canadian University of Bangladesh has graced the program as the Chief Guest while Dr. Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, Founder and Chairman, Board of
Trustees of Canadian University of Bangladesh, chaired in the program.

Among others, Prof. Dr. HM Jahirul Haque, Vice Chancellor, Prof. ASM Sirajul Haque, Treasurer and Dean, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Anusha Chowdhury, Director, External Affairs, Prof. Dr. Zahurul Alam, Dean, School of Business of Canadian University of Bangladesh were present the program.

Prof. Dr. Md. Shahrukh Adnan Khan, Head of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department and Prof. SM Arifuzzaman, Head of Business Administration department organized the program where Tahsin Bite Anis, Lecturer of Business school hosted the event.

Prof. Dr. Anis Pervez, Head of Media, Communication and Journalism department, ASMG Faruk, Joint Registrar, teachers, students and officers from different department and offices took part in the program.

Referring to the Canadian University as a well-known private university in Bangladesh, Patrick Joseph, the virtual dean of the university’s science and engineering department, said, “University is a special time to learn in
life. There are excellent professors in this university”. He then took various questions from the students.

Students at the orientation basically want to know if they can transfer credit to a university located abroad and do internship in different institutions. The Virtual Dean gives them various suggestions in this regard.

Welcoming everyone at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat said to the new students, `I can say for sure that you have chosen an institution which will help you to fulfill your dream.’

Referring to the world-class faculties of Canadian universities, he said, `The North American education curriculum is followed here. students are 100% satisfied with the highly equipped research opportunities, laboratories and multimedia classroom. More than 40 companies including power plants, banks, hotels, media where our alumni are given priority in getting jobs.

The construction work of magnificent iconic permanent campus at Purbachal is going on full swing that will have swimming pool, gymnasium, squash court and all the sports activities along with the features of next
generation smart campus.

At the inauguration, Prof. Dr. HM Jahirul Haque welcomed the freshers and hoped that they would get value-based education from this university to become enlightened citizens. (Press Release)
