While DJI devices are now officially banned in the United States, fresh filings suggest that two upcoming DJI drones could still go on sale. The DJI Lito 1 and DJI Lito X1 have appeared in records at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), a mandatory step before any consumer tech product can be sold in the US.

DJI Lito 1 and Lito X1 spotted at FCC
According to a report by The New Camera, the DJI Lito 1 and DJI Lito X1 were registered with the FCC in November and early December. This timing is significant, as the US ban on DJI drones came into effect on December 23, 2025.
FCC approval is required for wireless devices sold in the US, and the appearance of these DJI drones in FCC listings indicates they were cleared just before the ban deadline. This could allow them to legally reach US retailers.
Expected replacements for existing DJI drones
The report suggests that the DJI Lito 1 will replace the DJI Mini 4K, while the DJI Lito X1 is expected to succeed the DJI Mini 5 Pro. That positions both models firmly in the entry-level and beginner segment of DJI drones.
An official announcement could take place between late February and early April, with sales beginning shortly afterwards. The drones are expected to launch not only in the US but also in other global markets where DJI operates.
Predicted specs and pricing
So far, details about specifications remain limited. FCC documents do not reveal images or technical information. However, The New Camera reports that leaked imagery of a landing leg bearing the Lito branding points to minor design changes compared to the DJI Mini 4K and DJI Mini 5 Pro.
Based on current rumours, both DJI drones are expected to offer 360-degree obstacle avoidance and a flight range of more than 20 kilometres from a single battery charge. Pricing details have not yet been revealed.
