eufy has introduced the eufy S2 Max robot lawn mower at IFA 2026, with a design aimed at large outdoor spaces. Current reporting says the mower can handle areas up to 15,000 square metres and is expected to reach Europe in May 2027.
The mower is notable because it does not require perimeter wires or an RTK base station, according to coverage from El País. Instead, the system uses its navigation software and computer-vision hardware to map and manage the mowing area.
eufy says the S2 Max uses all-wheel drive and can climb slopes of up to 80 percent. Those figures describe the manufacturer’s design targets. Grass conditions, moisture, obstacles and the shape of a yard will determine how the mower behaves on a particular property.
The large-area focus separates this model from small robotic mowers built for compact suburban lawns. A 15,000-square-metre claim puts the S2 Max closer to farms, estates and large private grounds than to a typical small garden.
T3 included the mower in its report on Anker’s IFA lineup. El País separately described it as eufy’s first robot mower and reported the European timing. The two reports support the product’s positioning, but they do not establish a US price or a worldwide release plan.
Boundary-free operation could reduce installation work. Owners would not have to bury or pin a guide wire around every edge before the first mowing session. They will still need to configure the property, define zones and check whether the mower’s navigation system fits the terrain.
There is also a practical question about safety. A robot working across a large area must detect people, pets, garden tools and uneven ground. eufy’s stated navigation approach may help, but independent reviews will be needed before the system can be judged in mixed outdoor conditions.
The confirmed news is the IFA introduction and the published European target. Price, detailed specifications and final regional availability remain open. eufy may provide those details closer to launch, so early retailer pages should not be treated as final.
