Google’s screenless Fitbit Air is heading to India. The company has confirmed an October 2026 launch window. That is five months after the device debuted in the United States. Google has not announced an exact date or an official Indian price yet.

The Fitbit Air first went on sale in the US in May. It cost 99.99 dollars. Google positioned it as a lightweight, screen-free alternative to a smartwatch. The device weighs about 12 grams and skips a display entirely. It sends workout, sleep and heart rate data straight to the Google Health app.

Listings have already surfaced on Amazon India. That is an early signal the tracker will sell through the platform. Industry estimates put the Indian price between Rs 9,999 and Rs 14,000. Google has not confirmed a figure. The final number could shift closer to launch day.

The tracker leans heavily on artificial intelligence. Google says new machine learning models improve sleep tracking accuracy by up to 15 percent. That is compared with earlier Fitbit devices. The company is bundling three months of Google Health Premium with every purchase. That covers AI-driven coaching based on the wearer’s data. Health tracking includes heart rate variability monitoring and irregular heart rhythm alerts through atrial fibrillation detection. Battery life is rated at seven days per charge.

The October window puts India well behind the US launch. That gap is typical for Google’s hardware rollouts. But it is notable given how competitive India’s budget wearables market has become. Homegrown brands such as Noise, boAt and Fire-Boltt dominate volume sales in the country. Samsung and Apple compete at the premium end. A price under Rs 15,000 would put the Fitbit Air against mid-range trackers from those domestic brands. That would test whether Google’s AI health pitch can win over price-sensitive buyers.

Google has yet to confirm colour options. Retail partners beyond the Amazon listing remain unconfirmed too. It is also unclear whether the device will sell through Google’s own India storefront when it arrives this fall.
