Apple’s iOS 27 preview is drawing attention because the company is presenting a more capable Siri AI alongside changes to the iPhone experience. Apple’s current OS page says the software is coming this fall and that Siri AI is coming in English later this year. The official page is the primary reference for features and supported-device information.

Apple describes Siri AI as a conversational assistant that can understand natural requests, find information in personal context and take actions in apps such as Messages, Music and Reminders. The preview also shows a dedicated Siri app, camera-based visual search and writing assistance. These are previewed capabilities, so availability can still depend on language, device and later software versions.

The company also lists photo tools such as Spatial Reframing, an enhanced Clean Up feature and the ability to extend or transform images. Safari is described as gaining topic grouping and a Notify Me option for changes such as a price or restock. Apple’s page presents these as part of the iOS 27 preview, not as features that have already shipped to every iPhone.

Child safety is another major section of the preview. Apple says parents will be able to choose system apps during setup, approve new websites through Ask to Browse and set time allowances and schedules. Communication Safety is also described as adding protection around sensitive content in shared images and videos.

Apple lists compatibility from the iPhone 11 generation through the newer iPhone 17 family and the iPhone SE second generation and later. Compatibility with the operating system does not mean every phone receives every AI feature. Apple’s preview notes that some capabilities, including Apple Intelligence functions, require newer hardware.

The developer release page separately records iOS 27.0 beta 7, build 24A5424a, dated August 24. A beta build is for testing and development. It should not be confused with the stable public release, and users should understand the backup and stability risks before installing pre-release software on a primary phone.

The dependable iOS 27 update is therefore a preview with a broad compatibility list and a strong Siri AI focus, not a finished software release. Apple’s official page gives the clearest feature and device boundary, while the developer record confirms the beta track that is currently being tested.
