Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made their first major public red carpet appearance as a couple at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, attending the premiere of Perry’s concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour.

The pair posed together outside the venue and were photographed smiling at ease with each other. Trudeau, 54, and Perry, 41, have been linked since the summer of 2025, when they were spotted walking in Montreal shortly after Perry announced her split from Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares a daughter.
Perry said briefly at the premiere that her partner brings stability to her life. She did not name Trudeau directly. Sources close to the pair say they have been discussing next steps, though some friends have reportedly urged caution given how quickly the relationship has moved.
Trudeau served as Canada’s Prime Minister until his Liberal Party’s defeat in the April 2026 federal election. He has three children from his marriage to Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, which ended in 2023. Since leaving office, he has kept a lower public profile.
Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour is the concert documentary from Perry’s 2024 world tour, which visited more than 40 cities across North America, Europe, and Asia. The film captures the full production scale of the shows from backstage through to the stage performances.
Celebrity relationships have drawn significant attention in recent weeks. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reported to be planning their wedding for July 3 at Madison Square Garden, with the couple keeping details tightly under wraps. Anne Hathaway announced she is expecting her third child at 43. Country music star Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie XO after nearly 10 years of marriage.
Perry and Bloom’s separation, announced in early 2025, was described by both sides as amicable. They are co-parenting their daughter and have not made public statements about the circumstances of the split beyond initial confirmation.
No further public comments have been made by Perry or Trudeau about the relationship. The couple’s appearance at Tribeca marks their most visible moment together since they were first photographed in Montreal last summer. CBC News covered the Tribeca appearance in full.
