Motorola launched the Edge 70 Max in India on July 15 at 12 p.m. IST. The flagship phone lands with Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and a 7,100mAh battery designed to last the whole day.

The 6.8-inch display runs at 144Hz with 7,000 nits peak brightness. Motorola promises responsiveness and smoothness for everyday use and gaming. The 360Hz touch sampling rate suggests the company is targeting both casual users and mobile gamers.
Battery and Charging Stand Out
The 7,100mAh battery is one of the largest in its class. Motorola claims all-day endurance even with moderate-to-heavy use. The 90W wired TurboPower charging should refill the battery quickly for users in a hurry.
Wireless charging at 25W via Qi2 with MagSafe compatibility lets users charge without a cable. That’s useful for desks and bedside tables. The 5W reverse wireless charging means the Edge 70 Max can juice up other devices in a pinch.
Pricing and Availability
The base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs Rs 54,999, roughly $570. Bumping to 12GB RAM stays at the same storage tier for Rs 59,999, about $625. Sales begin July 20 on Flipkart, Motorola India’s website, and offline retailers.
The price positioning puts the Edge 70 Max against the Samsung Galaxy S24 and OnePlus 12, both strong competitors in the Indian premium segment.
Motorola is betting that the battery size and fast charging will sway buyers tired of midday power anxiety. The proof comes when early buyers report actual endurance.
