Poco will introduce the Poco X8 and Poco X8 Power in India on September 4 at noon IST, according to Gadgets360. The two phones will be sold through Flipkart, and the company has disclosed their main display, battery and software details before the event.
The standard model sits below the Power version in the lineup. Gadgets360 reports that the Poco X8 will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, while the Poco X8 Power will use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5. Both phones are listed with 8GB of RAM in the pre-launch details.
The shared screen is a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel. Poco says the display supports 12-bit color, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, HDR10+ and a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. The phones also include an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The battery figures are the clearest difference between the two devices. The Poco X8 has a 9,000mAh cell and 67W wired charging. The Poco X8 Power increases the capacity to 10,000mAh and raises wired charging to 100W.
Both handsets are listed with 22.5W wired reverse charging. That feature lets a phone send power through a cable to another device, such as earbuds or a second phone. The published information does not establish how long either battery will last in ordinary use.
The pair will run Xiaomi’s Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Poco has promised four years of operating-system upgrades and six years of security updates. Those figures describe the support commitment, not a guarantee of a particular performance level over the full period.
Durability is another dividing line. The standard Poco X8 is listed with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. The published specifications do not assign those four ratings to the Power model, so the distinction should remain clear in any comparison.
Poco will offer the standard phone in Black, Fiery Orange and Frost White. The company has not disclosed pricing in the Gadgets360 report cited here. More information is expected when the India launch begins on September 4.
The Poco X8 story is therefore centered on a large battery, a high-refresh-rate screen and a long support window. Buyers will still need the launch-day price and complete retail configuration before judging its value against other phones.
