A refreshed version of Xiaomiâs SU7 electric sedan is expected to make its official debut on March 19, according to the information provided. The update arrives with subtle exterior tweaks, a more heavily revised cabin, and a long list of changes focused on driver assistance hardware, safety, and charging.
Pre-sales have already begun for the updated SU7, with listed prices ranging from 229,900 to 309,900 yuan. The same information says that pricing sits 10,000 to 14,000 yuan higher than the current model, while also noting there is speculation the final launch price could be lower.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun previously said sample vehicles for the new SU7 are expected to reach dealerships by February 13, which would give interested buyers an early look ahead of the expected March launch.
From the outside, the refreshed SU7 largely keeps the current shape, with refinements aimed at recognition. The front bumper grille is described as optimized, and a new Capri Blue paint option is being added. The dimensions remain unchanged at 4,997mm long, 1,963mm wide, and 1,445mm tall, riding on a 3,000mm wheelbase.
Inside, the updates are more detailed. The cabin gets a new steering wheel design, a revised sub-instrument panel, and changes to stitching on door panels and seats. Soft-touch coverage is said to be significantly expanded, paired with a three-layer ambient lighting system that wraps around the cabin.
A key hardware change is that all new SU7 models will now include LiDAR. The lineup also standardizes a 700TOPS auxiliary driving computing chip, up from a previous maximum of 508TOPS, and will come with the Xiaomi HAD auxiliary driving system across the range.
Safety upgrades are also highlighted. Airbags increase from seven to nine, and the steel-aluminum hybrid body adds 2,200MPa hot-formed steel door anti-collision beams across all variants, along with a standard embedded roll cage.
Power and charging are being pushed higher as well. The new SU7 models adopt the V6s Plus motor as standard, lifting output to 320 horsepower for the standard and Pro versions, and to 690 horsepower for the Max.
The electrical architecture shifts upward too. Standard and Pro move from 400V to 752V, while Max climbs from 871V to 897V. In the details provided, the Max is listed as capable of adding up to 670km of range in 15 minutes.
Range figures rise under the CLTC standard: 720km for the standard model, 902km for the Pro, and 835km for the Max. Suspension is revised so that both Pro and Max now come with dual-chamber air suspension and CDC dampers, rather than reserving that setup only for the Max.
If the expected timeline holds, Xiaomiâs updated SU7 is positioning itself as a familiar sedan with meaningful upgrades where owners tend to feel them most: in the cabin, in charging speed, and in the carâs driver assistance and safety hardware.
