Nothing has confirmed that the Phone 4b will launch in India and globally on July 7, 2026 at 3:30 pm IST. The new model is positioned below the Phone 4a as an entry point to Nothing’s ecosystem, maintaining the brand’s signature transparent design at a lower price than previous generations.

Leaks suggest the Phone 4b could cost above Rs 30,000 in India. Nothing has not confirmed official pricing yet. A special RCB Edition created to celebrate Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s consecutive IPL titles launches the same day, available only at the Nothing Bengaluru Store opening at 4:00 pm IST.
Display and Performance
The Phone 4b features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The screen brightness reaches 2,000 nits, bright enough for outdoor visibility. The panel uses curved edges and a centered punch hole, reducing bezels on top and bottom.
Inside, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset handles everyday tasks: social media, messaging, light gaming. The processor is mid-range, not flagship, but Nothing’s optimization work historically gets solid performance out of modest silicon. Expect smooth operation with occasional frame drops in demanding games.
Nothing bundles up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. The base model likely pairs 6GB RAM with 128GB storage at the sub-Rs 30,000 price point.
Camera Setup and Software
The rear camera system includes dual sensors at 50MP each. The main captures standard photos; the secondary handles ultra-wide shots. The setup is competent but not exceptional. Nothing isn’t known for computational photography wizardry like Google or Apple.
The phone runs Android 16 out of the box. Nothing’s Nothing OS skin adds customization layers on top, focusing on transparency themes and gesture controls. The software is clean and fast, rarely bogging down with bloat.
Market Positioning
The Phone 4b targets budget-conscious buyers who want design personality without flagship pricing. Nothing’s transparent back is a differentiator. Most mid-range phones look identical. This one stands out.
The launch timing matters. July 7 is early enough in the buying season to capture seasonal refresh demand. The price point avoids direct competition with OnePlus and POCO’s stronger performers. There’s room in the market for a design-first mid-range phone.
Launch confirmed for July 7 at 3:30 pm IST in India. Global availability to be announced.
