The Nubia Z80 Ultra has entered the global market following its earlier launch in China, bringing ZTEâs latest flagship smartphone to several European countries with most of the hardware features unchanged from the domestic version.

The device arrives in three finishes â black, white, and a blue âStarry Nightâ edition inspired by the work of Vincent van Gogh â as ZTE continues to position the phone around premium design and photography-focused hardware.
At the center of the Nubia Z80 Ultra is Qualcommâs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with configurations offering up to 16 GB of RAM and as much as 1 TB of internal storage. The hardware places the phone firmly in the high-end segment, targeting users looking for sustained performance across gaming, multitasking, and heavier mobile workloads.
Battery capacity is another major focus. The global version carries a 7,200 mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 80W fast charging through both wired and wireless methods. While the Chinese model previously launched with 90W wired charging, the reduction is relatively minor considering the battery size and overall charging capability retained in the international release.
The display remains one of the deviceâs more distinctive features. Nubia has equipped the phone with a 6.85-inch AMOLED panel offering 2K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate, alongside peak brightness rated at 2,000 nits. The design avoids visible interruptions on the screen by placing the 16 MP front-facing camera beneath the display.
That uninterrupted front panel is paired with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor embedded under the screen, maintaining the clean appearance that Nubia has increasingly emphasized in its flagship lineup.
On the rear, the phone uses a triple-camera system built around a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization. It is joined by a 50 MP ultrawide camera and a 64 MP periscope telephoto lens that also includes optical stabilization and supports up to 2.7x optical zoom.
ZTE is also introducing an optional photography accessory alongside the handset. Called the Retro Kit 2.0, the add-on package includes an aluminum alloy body with a leather-textured finish, a grip strap, and physical shutter controls intended to give the phone a more camera-like feel during shooting. The accessory is priced at roughly $160, or about âŦ149.
