ZOOMBANGLA DESK: President M Abdul Hamid today asked the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to ensure required efforts to prevent corruption in all development sectors to build Bangladesh as a developed and prosperous country.
“Corruption is the main barrier to development and progress . . . Build a social movement against corrupt practices, “the President told the ACC delegation as they submitted the “ACC’s Annual Report – 2022” to him at Bangabhaban this evening.
Abdul Hamid also directed the ACC, country’s anti-graft commission, to ensure that no officer-employee of it is involved in corrupt practices, President’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin briefed the newsmen later.
ACC Chairman Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah led the delegation. ACC Commissioners – Dr Md Mozammel Haque Khan and Md Zahurul Haque – and ACC Secretary Mohammad Mahbub Hossain were present.
During the meeting, the ACC Chairman informed the President about various aspects of the report and the overall activities of the Commission.
