Limited air corridors granted by Qatar’s civil aviation authorities have allowed Qatar Airways to operate a small number of flights through Doha’s Hamad International Airport in the coming days, offering temporary travel options while the wider regional conflict continues to disrupt aviation across the Middle East.
The airline confirmed that selected departures and arrivals will operate on March 15 and March 16 following a temporary authorization issued by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority. The permission allows restricted operations through designated corridors rather than a full reopening of normal air traffic.
The decision reflects cautious efforts to maintain essential connectivity without signaling a full recovery of the region’s aviation network. Qatar Airways made clear that these flights are limited in scope and may still be adjusted depending on developments in surrounding airspace.
Passengers have also been advised not to travel to the airport unless they already hold a confirmed ticket.
According to the airline, eligible travelers for direct point-to-point flights will be contacted individually. The carrier emphasized that the current schedule should not be interpreted as a resumption of normal commercial operations.
Selected International Routes Scheduled Through Doha
The temporary schedule includes several long-haul and regional routes passing through Hamad International Airport.
On March 15, Qatar Airways plans departures from Doha to cities including Dhaka, Delhi, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul, London, Paris, Madrid, Jeddah, Melbourne, New York, Hong Kong, Sao Paulo, Algiers and Casablanca.
Arrivals into Doha the same day are expected from Riyadh, Muscat, Shanghai, Manila, Dallas, Toronto, Colombo, Cairo, Islamabad, Mumbai, Rome, Madrid, London, Casablanca and Paris.
Operations continue on March 16 with departures from Doha scheduled to Perth, Muscat, Seoul, Bangkok, Beijing, Dhaka, Kochi, Jakarta, Mumbai, Cairo, Miami, Amsterdam, London, Colombo and Frankfurt.
Incoming flights that day include services from Istanbul, Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Delhi, Algiers, New York, Jeddah, Sao Paulo, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, London and Frankfurt.
Despite these scheduled movements, airline officials cautioned that conditions remain fluid.
Regional airspace restrictions tied to the ongoing conflict have repeatedly forced airlines across the Middle East to cancel, reroute or suspend flights. As a result, schedules can shift quickly if security conditions change.
Qatar Airways has introduced temporary flexibility for affected passengers. Travelers with confirmed bookings between February 28 and March 22 are allowed to change their travel date twice at no cost within fourteen days of the original departure date, or request a refund for unused tickets.
For now, the limited operations through Doha offer a narrow but important channel for international travel at a time when large portions of Middle Eastern airspace remain uncertain.
Airlines and aviation authorities across the region continue to monitor the situation closely, leaving the near-term future of regular flight schedules unresolved.
