Soundcore Liberty Buds 2 targets clearer calls with eight sensors

By Alamgir HossainSeptember 6, 20262 Mins Read

Anker has announced the Soundcore Liberty Buds 2, a new pair of in-ear wireless earbuds focused on call quality and listening comfort. The company plans to release them on September 22 alongside other Soundcore products shown at IFA 2026.

Anker’s launch material describes an eight-sensor system that includes two voice-processing units. The design is intended to separate a speaker’s voice from surrounding noise during calls. That is a product claim, so the result will depend on the room, wind and the phone used for the connection.

The earbuds also use a six-microphone active noise-cancellation system, according to the company. Anker says the system provides twice the noise reduction of the previous models. The comparison is based on the manufacturer’s stated measurement and should not be treated as an independent test result.

Soundcore’s product page highlights adaptive ANC that reads the surrounding environment in real time. It also lists a bean-shaped design aimed at reducing pressure during long listening sessions. Fit remains personal, so buyers may have different results with the same ear tips.

The earbuds support HearID 5.0, which creates a sound profile after a hearing test. Soundcore says the system adjusts the audio to a user’s hearing response instead of relying on one preset. Personalization can change how a track sounds, but it does not replace a clinical hearing assessment.

Anker has not published a full independent battery test in the material reviewed for this report. The company has disclosed the sensor system, ANC approach and planned release date, while regional pricing may vary. Some early coverage lists different prices, so buyers should check the local Soundcore store.

The Liberty Buds 2 are part of a wider audio launch built around Anker’s THUS chip. What Hi-Fi reported that the chip is designed to run AI calculations in memory. That hardware detail explains the product’s processing pitch, but it does not tell buyers how the final sound will compare with rivals.

People who make frequent calls may find the model more interesting than a standard music-first earbud. The launch story is about voice pickup, adaptive noise control and fit. Reviews after release will show whether those features work outside Anker’s test conditions.
