Tesla Cybertruck Gets July 2026 Software Updates and Lease Options

By Rithe RoseJuly 22, 20262 Mins Read

Tesla rolled out July 2026 software updates for the Cybertruck, bringing FSD V14.3.3 and dashboard camera encryption. The updates arrive as delivery wait times stretch to August and September for premium models.

Tesla Cybertruck FSD July 2026 update

Every 2026 Cybertruck now includes a 30-day trial of Full Self-Driving (Supervised), which provides highway and city street assistance — not true autonomy, but closer than cruise control.

The Current Wait

The sub-$60,000 base model is effectively sold out until September-October 2026. Premium AWD delivery slips to October-November. Only the Cyberbeast tri-motor is readily available with July-August delivery.

That’s a supply constraint, not a demand problem. People still want the truck.

What FSD V14.3.3 Does

The update improves highway navigate on autopilot and city street assists. It’s incremental. Tesla releases these updates in rapid succession, each one slightly better than the last.

Dashcam encryption is a privacy win. Footage is encrypted in-transit and on-device, making it harder for bad actors to access video data.

The Lease Strategy

Tesla is pushing lease deals on Cybertrucks to move volume. Leasing lowers the monthly payment and removes resale risk for buyers who are unsure about long-term reliability on a new vehicle.

For Tesla, leases bring the truck back in a few years, after the design has matured. That’s good engineering sense.

Delivery delays are normal for new vehicles. Tesla’s speed to market is the real story.
