The Toxic movie trailer conversation has moved into advance-booking territory ahead of the Yash-led film’s August 26 theatrical release. Early ticket sales have been reported as strong, but the figures use different measurements, so blocked seats and actual paid bookings should not be treated as the same number.
The Week reported that Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups had recorded ₹24.27 crore in opening-day early bookings in India, with the total rising to ₹32.52 crore when blocked seats were included. It said more than 6.4 lakh tickets had been sold across the country in the figures it reviewed.
The same report said the Hindi 2D version contributed ₹11.06 crore from 3.33 lakh tickets and the Kannada version ₹10.99 crore from 2.64 lakh tickets. It identified Karnataka as the strongest domestic market, with more than ₹10.69 crore in advance sales across more than 1,740 shows.
The Indian Express reported an earlier stage of the booking cycle at ₹19.66 crore in day-one advances, including blocked seats. It said the actual advance-booking component was ₹11.92 crore and that Karnataka contributed ₹7.6 crore at that point. The gap between the reports reflects the pace of sales and the inclusion of blocked seats, not necessarily a contradiction.
Moneycontrol had earlier reported that nationwide bookings were scheduled to open on August 21 and that the film would release in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English. It also noted that final screen-count claims had not been confirmed by the makers at the time of its report.
For people arriving through the Toxic movie trailer search, the clearest takeaway is that the film’s pre-release attention is now being measured by regional demand, especially in Hindi and Kannada markets. Advance sales can signal interest, but they do not establish the film’s final opening, reviews or theatrical performance after release.
