The Triumph 350cc range is set to launch in India on April 6, marking a new entry point for the brand in the mid-capacity segment. The lineup is expected to include Speed, Scrambler, and Thruxton models, all built around a newly tuned 349cc engine.

The move reflects Triumph’s push to expand its accessible motorcycle portfolio in India. The updated range aims to balance performance, pricing, and everyday usability for a broader audience.

A smaller engine strategy for the Triumph 350cc range

The upcoming Triumph 350cc range will be powered by a revised 349cc liquid-cooled engine. This unit is derived from the existing 398cc platform but adjusted with a reduced bore while keeping the stroke largely unchanged.

This change is expected to improve low-end and mid-range torque delivery. Early estimates suggest output could sit close to 35bhp and around 32–33Nm, though official figures are yet to be confirmed.

The motorcycles are likely to retain the same overall design language seen in the 400cc lineup. This includes classic styling cues, familiar chassis setup, and similar hardware components.

Pricing advantage and positioning in India

The Triumph 350cc range could benefit from India’s lower 18 percent GST bracket. This tax adjustment is expected to bring noticeable price reductions compared to the current 400cc models.

Early dealer-level indications suggest prices may drop by approximately Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 depending on the variant. This shift could place the motorcycles in a more competitive position within the growing premium commuter segment.

Feature updates remain uncertain at this stage. While modern additions like TFT displays, ride modes, and quick-shifters are now common in the segment, there is no confirmation that these will be included.

The Triumph 350cc range enters the market with a clear focus on accessibility and practicality. With its India launch scheduled for April 6, the lineup is positioned to attract riders seeking a refined yet more affordable Triumph experience.
