Adidas is extending its presence in lifestyle accessories with a release that leans on both nostalgia and compact design. The companyâs latest piece, the Digital Two Ring, reworks the visual language of 1980s digital watches into a smaller form intended to be worn on the finger rather than the wrist.

The design draws directly from the existing Digital Two watch, but its proportions have been scaled down to a 20mm stainless steel case. The result is a compact object that prioritises a sharp, metallic finish without adding visual clutter. The surface treatment remains deliberately restrained, giving the piece a distinct, almost industrial edge.
There is a practical consideration in how the ring is worn. Adidas has opted for an expansion band rather than a fixed size, allowing it to adjust across different fingers without the need for precise fitting. That approach reflects an attempt to position the piece as both jewellery and functional timekeeping, rather than strictly one or the other.
The display itself is pared back. It shows the time in a clear digital format, with minimal additional information competing for attention. The Trefoil logo sits above the display, acting as the only branding element visible on the face.
Two finishes are being introduced at launch. One comes in a polished gold tone, designed to stand out when layered with other accessories. The other arrives in a more subdued silver, which blends more easily into everyday wear. In both cases, the watch is intended to sit alongside rings or bracelets rather than replace them.
Durability has not been overlooked entirely. The model carries a 3 ATM water resistance rating, suggesting it can handle minor exposure to water in daily use, though it is not intended for extended contact.
The Digital Two Ring is scheduled to release on April 17 through the adidas Japan webstore. The rollout, at least initially, appears limited to that market, with no broader distribution outlined in the available information.

The release reflects a growing interest in hybrid accessories that cross between fashion and utility. In this case, Adidas is revisiting familiar design cues while shifting how and where they are worn, placing a conventional function into an unconventional format.
