A’ja Wilson scored 30 points, grabbed 15 rebounds, and added four steals and three blocks on Sunday as the Las Vegas Aces beat the Chicago Sky 107-99 — becoming the first player in WNBA history to post all four of those marks in a single game.

The four-time league MVP needed all of it. The Sky made it a fight in the second half, pulling within single digits before Wilson shut the door. The Aces improve to 14-5 on the season and sit in second place in the Western Conference.
A Stat Line the League Has Never Seen Before
Thirty points, 15 rebounds, four steals, and three blocks in one game. No WNBA player has ever combined all four of those numbers in a single contest. Wilson has become the measuring stick for all-around play in the league, and Sunday reinforced why.
Her 15-rebound effort was a season high. The four steals matched her best defensive performance of 2026. And this came against a Sky team that came in having beaten the Aces in their last meeting. The performance was not a walkover.
Wilson’s Case for a Fifth MVP Award
Wilson has now scored at least 20 points in 16 of her 19 games this season. She’s averaging 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game entering Sunday’s matchup. If she keeps producing at this rate, the MVP conversation is over before the All-Star break.
The four MVP awards she already holds are the most in WNBA history. A fifth would put her alone at the top of that list, beyond any comparison. Teams have tried doubling her, running zone looks, and switching assignments. None of it has slowed her down for any sustained stretch in 2026.
What This Means for the Aces’ Title Run
Las Vegas was the preseason title favorite in most projections, and they’re performing like it. At 14-5, they trail only the New York Liberty in the overall standings. Their remaining schedule through July includes games against the Indiana Fever, Seattle Storm, and Connecticut Sun — each of whom is capable of making things difficult.
But with Wilson playing at this level, the Aces have a margin for error that most teams don’t. Even nights when their offense struggles to find rhythm, she can carry the scoring load and anchor the defense.
Wilson leads the WNBA in both points and rebounds per game — and she just made history with a game no one in the league’s history has ever had before.
