Alisa Goods, a New York grandmother whose disappearance prompted a missing-person search, was found dead near Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and local reporting. The discovery changes the case from an active search for her whereabouts to an investigation into her death.

KTNV reported that a caller found a deceased woman near Wayne Newton Boulevard and a Terminal 1 parking garage. Police reviewed surveillance video and said Goods fell down an embankment on Aug. 8, got back up and later collapsed. Investigators reported no further movement after the collapse.
The cause and manner of death had not been determined in the latest report. That means the available information does not establish whether Goods died from injuries connected to the fall, a medical emergency or another circumstance. The Clark County coroner’s findings and the police investigation will be needed before a final explanation can be given.
Goods’ family had previously said they were worried after losing contact with her. Reports also described messages from her phone requesting money or Bitcoin, an element that investigators may examine as they reconstruct her final movements. A message sent from a missing person’s device does not by itself establish who wrote it or what happened to the person.
Police are expected to continue reviewing surveillance, phone records and witness information. Investigators may also compare the timeline of the missing-person report with the airport-area footage and the medical examination. Families and the public should avoid spreading unverified claims while those steps are under way.
The Alisa Goods case now has a confirmed recovery but no public final cause of death. Anyone with information about her movements or the messages from her phone should contact Las Vegas police through official channels. The latest confirmed update is that her body was found near the airport and that the circumstances remain under investigation.
