Apple has introduced new Mac mini configurations built around its M6 and M5 Pro chips, with the compact desktops scheduled to begin shipping on Sept. 22, 2026. The company said the updated models are designed to increase processing, graphics and artificial-intelligence performance while keeping the small desktop format.

Apple’s newsroom said the M6 version can deliver up to four times the company’s claimed AI performance of the previous generation, with up to twice the storage and graphics performance and a CPU that is up to 40% faster. TechCrunch reported that the U.S. starting price is $899 for a model with 16GB of unified memory and 256GB of storage. The M5 Pro version starts at $1,699 with 24GB of memory and 512GB of storage.

The new Mac mini includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, HDMI and Thunderbolt connectivity, along with 2.5-gigabit Ethernet and an optional 10-gigabit Ethernet configuration. Apple opened preorders in its launch announcement, while availability details vary by market. The company’s performance figures are claims made by Apple and should be read as comparisons under its stated testing conditions, not as independent benchmark results.
