Garmin has introduced the fēnix 9 and fēnix 9 Pro, new multisport GPS smartwatches aimed at athletes and outdoor users. The company’s Aug. 25 announcement says the Pro line adds a titanium case option and connectivity features that can support voice, text and SOS functions through Garmin’s satellite and LTE services. The Garmin Fenix 9 name is therefore moving from pre-launch speculation into a confirmed product line.

Garmin also highlighted a feature called Garmin Epic, together with enhanced stamina tools and navigation updates. The company described the fēnix 9 as a smaller-sized model with an AMOLED display and up to 10 days of battery life in the configuration listed on its product pages. Available features and battery performance can vary by case size, connection use and selected service plan.
The launch followed a Garmin “Play Harder” event that had attracted attention among wearable users. TechRadar had identified the event as a likely fēnix launch before the company confirmed the products. Garmin’s announcement is the authoritative source for the confirmed model names and capabilities, while final pricing, regional availability and service requirements should be checked against the buyer’s market. Satellite messaging and emergency functions also depend on coverage and an active plan, so they are not identical to a normal mobile-phone connection.
