BGauss has launched the C12 MaxR electric scooter in India with a claimed 178-kilometre ARAI-certified range. The scooter uses a 3.8kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and an integrated in-wheel motor platform designed to combine several drivetrain parts in one unit.

The company lists a peak motor output of 4.2kW and a top speed above 75km per hour. BGauss also claims a gradeability figure of 18 plus or minus 2 degrees. Riders can choose Eco, Ride or Sport modes.
The scooter includes reverse and cruise-control functions. Its HyperZen in-wheel unit combines the motor, gear transmission, braking setup and motor-control unit. This design can reduce the number of separate drivetrain components, although long-term service results will depend on use and maintenance.
BGauss lists a five-inch TFT display and wireless smartphone charging. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels and uses a hydraulic telescopic fork at the front. A Nitrox suspension unit is fitted at the rear.
Braking hardware includes a 220-millimeter front disc, a rear combined braking system and regenerative braking. The C12 MaxR has 160 millimeters of ground clearance and a maximum payload of 150 kilograms.
The official BGauss website lists an ex-showroom price of 159,990 Indian rupees. It also shows an effective price of 154,990 rupees after the PM E-Drive benefit. Eligibility and final on-road costs can vary by location and buyer circumstances.
AutocarPro reported the launch on September 9 and listed four color choices. The report also described the scooter’s integrated platform and the range claim. Neither source presents the 178-kilometre figure as a universal real-world distance under every riding condition.
The C12 MaxR will compete in a growing electric-scooter segment where range, charging access and after-sales support matter as much as headline specifications. BGauss says it has more than 200 dealerships, giving buyers a way to check local support before ordering.
