The search phrase fromm and oma’s pride recalls is linked to two separate dog-food safety actions listed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Fromm Family Foods announced a recall on Aug. 21, while Oma’s Pride recalled one lot of frozen raw canine food on Aug. 17.

The Fromm action covers 3,852 cases of Turkey Pate wet canned dog food and 1,973 cases of Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pate wet canned dog food. The FDA says the products may contain metal. The affected cans are identified by product details, UPC numbers and lot codes in the agency notice.
Fromm said the products were distributed through neighborhood pet stores and online outlets in the United States and Canada. The company reported no illnesses or injuries linked to the recalled products at the time of the notice. Consumers are urged to stop feeding the affected cans and return them to the retailer.
The Oma’s Pride recall is narrower. The FDA says one lot of Woof Complete Canine Chicken Recipe, sold in a six-pound bag under lot BB012729, tested positive for Salmonella. The notice identifies 639 affected bags and says three illnesses in dogs had been reported in connection with the consumer complaint.
The agency says no human illnesses had been reported in the Oma’s Pride case, but people can face a risk from handling contaminated pet products. Owners should check the exact brand, product and lot information in the FDA notices, stop using a matching item, dispose of it safely and clean bowls or storage containers that may have touched it.
