The update page describes the change as improved device security. It also warns that the exact changes can vary by model, country and network operator. That means the build number is a useful identifier, but it does not prove that every Galaxy S26 Ultra owner will receive the update at the same time.

Android Central reported on August 27 that the August update was reaching Galaxy S26 users overseas after a late rollout. The report said a Samsung official had informed Korean users about a possible fix for the red screen or red tint problem reported on some Galaxy S26 Ultra units.
