Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy S lineup is beginning to take shape in early disclosures, with indications that the company may broaden its flagship range while maintaining a familiar approach to mobile processors.

During a recent earnings call, Qualcomm confirmed that its partnership framework with Samsung will continue into 2027 with a clear tilt toward Snapdragon chips. According to Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, more than 70 percent of Samsung’s Galaxy S27 devices are expected to use Snapdragon processors, continuing a shift away from the roughly equal split that once defined the relationship between Qualcomm and Samsung’s in-house silicon.
The remarks did not include product-level specifics, but they offer a strong signal about how Samsung is likely to divide its chipset strategy across regions and models. That detail has started to emerge separately through industry chatter.
A South Korea-based leaker now suggests that Samsung is preparing a four-model Galaxy S27 lineup, adding a new “Pro” variant to sit between the Plus and Ultra tiers. If the plan holds, the range would include the standard Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Plus, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra.
The same source claims the chipset split will vary depending on the model. The Galaxy S27 and S27 Plus are expected to follow Samsung’s established regional approach, shipping with either Snapdragon or Exynos processors depending on the market. In contrast, both the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra are said to be equipped exclusively with Snapdragon chips worldwide.
The introduction of a Pro model would mark a notable adjustment to Samsung’s flagship positioning. The device is expected to carry some features associated with the Ultra variant, though without support for the S Pen, placing it in a distinct upper-tier category.
At this stage, it remains unclear whether the information reflects confirmed internal decisions or informed speculation. Samsung has a history of adjusting its product plans late in the development cycle. The Galaxy S26 lineup, for instance, reportedly saw significant changes close to launch, including the cancellation of a near-complete variant.
For now, Qualcomm’s comments provide the most concrete indication of direction, pointing to a continued reliance on Snapdragon across the majority of Samsung’s flagship devices. How that share is ultimately distributed within the Galaxy S27 family will likely become clearer as development progresses.

The broader picture suggests continuity in strategy, with a possible expansion in product segmentation. Whether Samsung finalizes that four-model lineup remains an open question for the months ahead.
