Infosys Q3 FY2026 Revenue Climbs 13.38% Year-Over-Year

By Tusher DebnathJuly 24, 20262 Mins Read

Infosys reported quarterly revenue of ₹46,402 crore in Q3 FY2026, up 2.03% quarter-on-quarter and 13.38% year-on-year. Operating profit jumped 19.50% sequentially from ₹9,345 crore to ₹11,167 crore, signaling improved operational efficiency as the company manages costs against soft demand in parts of the banking and financial services segment.

The results land in a bruising period for Indian IT. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL Technologies and Tech Mahindra have collectively lost 46% of their market capitalization since August 2024, driven by AI disruption fears and a slowdown in traditional software services. Infosys’s positive quarter pushes back against the narrative that Indian software exports are terminal.

AI and Margin Expansion

Operating profit expansion suggests Infosys is pulling more value from each rupee of revenue. This can happen in two ways: higher-margin AI and automation projects mix into the revenue stream, or cost discipline improves. The company likely experienced both. Automation testing and AI-assisted code generation command higher rates than traditional IT services, and customers will pay for them.

What matters for growth going forward is whether Infosys can grow revenue faster than it grows costs. AI is genuinely cannibalizing low-skill services work. Infosys needs to prove it can transition its workforce upward faster than attrition happens.

FY2026 Outlook and Competition

Infosys has now posted consecutive years of solid operating performance despite headwinds in traditional services. The company’s ability to win AI and automation-focused deals has differentiated it from some peers. But the overall IT services market is contracting in developed economies, which means Indian IT companies are fighting for a smaller pie.

Infosys profits when it can shift customers from commodity services to specialized AI work faster than rivals can copy the playbook.
