Jake Lang was arrested in Minneapolis after a rally outside City Hall that police said escalated when two vehicles drove onto a sidewalk toward a crowd of counter-protesters. The arrest became a major part of the latest search interest around jake lang.

CBS Minnesota reported that Lang held a protest around noon on Saturday. Minneapolis police said Lang and two other people were in the vehicles, which moved unexpectedly toward the crowd. Police said the confrontation developed quickly and that chemical irritants were used by people on both sides.
Police said the vehicles later left the area after they were overrun by counter-protesters. Officers tracked them and stopped one near Washington Avenue and Interstate 35W. Bloomington police stopped the second vehicle near Lindau Lane and IKEA Way, according to the department’s account.
Three officers were injured during the incident, police said. One officer was taken to a hospital and later released, and authorities said none of the officers suffered serious injuries. Lang and the other occupants were taken into custody on probable cause riot, while four additional people were arrested outside City Hall on other suspected offenses.
The Minnesota Star Tribune also reported that both vehicles were impounded. The accounts from police and local reporting describe arrests and allegations rather than a final court determination, so the probable-cause language does not establish guilt. Further proceedings will determine the outcome of the case.
