Motorola officially launched the Edge 70 Pro+ in India on June 4, making it one of the more capable mid-range phones released this month. The headline spec is a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and AI-assisted 50x super zoom. Motorola has been pushing camera hardware hard across the Edge line, and this model is the clearest statement of that direction yet.
The display is a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel running at up to 144Hz with HDR10+ support and a peak brightness rating of 5,200 nits. Under the hood sits a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor. The phone ships with a primary 50MP sensor, the periscope telephoto, and an ultra-wide — a setup aimed at photography-focused buyers who don’t want to pay flagship prices.
The body carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Fast wired charging is included, with a battery sized to last a full day on typical use, based on early reviewer reports out of India. Motorola has not detailed the exact battery capacity, but the spec sheet points to all-day endurance as a primary goal.
The Edge 70 Pro+ arrives in a crowded space. The Xiaomi 17T launched on the same date, and OnePlus is expected to follow with the 15s before the end of June. Motorola is pricing the Edge 70 Pro+ aggressively to compete directly with both devices across the Rs 50,000 to Rs 65,000 range.
Availability through Flipkart and Motorola’s official online store began on launch day in Midnight Black and a lighter colorway. For mid-range buyers who prioritize telephoto reach, the Edge 70 Pro+ is one of the stronger options this month.
