Nothing Phone (4b) launches globally on July 7, 2026, at 3:30 PM IST. It’s Nothing’s first b-series phone and marks the company’s expansion into a more accessible segment. The phone runs a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip with 8GB RAM, a 6.77-inch AMOLED display, and a dual 50MP rear camera.
Nothing built its reputation on design. The Phone (1) and (2) featured transparent backs with LEDs. The 4b continues that philosophy but at a lower price point. If the company succeeds, it could capture users who want Nothing’s aesthetic without flagship pricing.
The Mid-Range Phone Wars
The mid-range smartphone market is crowded. Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and others all compete on value. Nothing enters this space with design as its differentiator. A 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with 50MP cameras is solid for the price but not exceptional. The Glyph Interface, Nothing’s LED system, is what sets it apart.
The 5,400 mAh battery with 45W charging suggests Nothing believes users want speed over capacity. Fast charging has become table stakes. The question is whether the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 can deliver smooth performance at scale.
Global Ambitions
Nothing launched in Europe first, then India, then global markets. The 4b is positioned as a gateway device. It’s the phone for users who like Nothing’s brand but can’t afford flagship prices. If it sells well, Nothing could use profits to fund bigger innovations.
The 4b matters because Nothing is proving that design-first thinking can compete in the crowded smartphone market. Mid-range pricing doesn’t mean mid-range design.
