Nubia has expanded the international availability of its Z80 Ultra smartphone, bringing the flagship device to several European markets after first introducing it in China earlier this year. The global rollout arrives with largely the same hardware package that defined the original launch, preserving the company’s emphasis on battery endurance, display design, and camera-focused features.

The device is being offered internationally in black and white finishes, alongside a blue “Starry Night” edition inspired by the work of Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. The design remains unchanged from the Chinese model, reflecting Nubia’s decision to carry its flagship formula into overseas markets with minimal alterations.
At the center of the handset is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Buyers can configure the smartphone with up to 16 GB of RAM and as much as 1 TB of internal storage, placing it among the company’s highest-specification devices currently available outside China.
Battery capacity continues to be one of the Z80 Ultra’s most notable features. The smartphone includes a 7,200 mAh silicon-carbon battery, a figure that stands out in the premium smartphone segment. Charging support reaches 80W through both wired and wireless methods on the international model.
That marks one of the few differences from the Chinese release, which offered 90W wired charging. Despite the reduction in charging speed, the battery capacity itself remains unchanged.
Nubia has also retained its distinctive approach to display design. The Z80 Ultra features a 6.85-inch AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and peak brightness rated at 2,000 nits. A 16-megapixel front-facing camera is positioned beneath the display, allowing the screen to remain free of visible cutouts.
The display incorporates an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor beneath the panel, continuing the company’s focus on creating an uninterrupted front surface while maintaining biometric security features.
Photography remains a key part of the device’s positioning. The rear camera system consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The telephoto camera also features optical stabilization and supports up to 2.7x optical zoom.
Alongside the smartphone launch, ZTE is introducing the Retro Kit 2.0, an optional accessory package aimed at users interested in a more camera-like shooting experience. The accessory combines an aluminum alloy body with a leather-textured finish and includes a grip strap as well as dedicated shutter controls.
The Retro Kit 2.0 is priced at approximately $160, or around €149, and will be offered separately from the handset.

With the international release now underway, the Z80 Ultra reaches global markets carrying the same core hardware philosophy that shaped its debut in China. The combination of a large-capacity battery, uninterrupted display design, and photography-oriented accessories remains central to the device as Nubia broadens its flagship presence beyond its home market.
