ZOOMBANGLA DESK: President M Abdul Hamid reiterated his hope that the Bangladesh Air Force would become a modern and advanced force in the days to come as the present government is implementing various programmes to modernize the Air Force under the ‘Forces Goal-2030’, BSS reports.

The head of the state said this while outgoing Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat paid a call on him at Bangabhaban here this evening.

Later, President’s Press secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS that the outgoing air chief briefed the President about various activities undertaken during his tenure in the development of the Bangladesh Air Force.

He expressed his gratitude for the overall cooperation and guidance during his tenure.

President Hamid also thanked the outgoing air chief for his successful completion of the assignments.

Appreciating the various activities of the Armed Forces, including the Air Force, in dealing with the Covid-19, the President hoped that the Air Force would continue to contribute to meet the needs of the country and the nation in future.

President’s Office Secretary Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah Uddin Islam, Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin and Secretary (attached) Wahidul Islam Khan were also present on the occasion.
