A total of 14,384 candidates have been finally recommended for appointment to vacant posts in 61 districts. The three hill districts were not included in this round of recruitment, according to officials familiar with the process.

The list has been prepared on the basis of combined performance in the written and oral examinations. Authorities followed an upazila-based merit order, applying the provisions of the Government Primary School Teacher Recruitment Rules, 2025. Education officials say the process adhered strictly to the existing regulations, with no deviation from the approved framework.

With the results now public, the Directorate of Primary Education has set out a clear timeline for the next steps. Selected candidates will be required to submit medical fitness certificates issued by the respective district civil surgeons, along with drug test reports, between February 22 and February 27.

Document verification will run alongside the medical process. From February 22 to March 1, recommended candidates must appear at their respective district primary education offices with original academic certificates, national identity cards, and three copies of duly filled police verification forms.

The authorities have also issued a firm warning regarding compliance. Any candidate found to have provided false information, concealed facts, or received an adverse police verification report will face cancellation of the recommendation. Involvement in activities deemed anti-state will also result in disqualification. Officials stressed that failure to submit the required documents within the stipulated timeframe will automatically exclude a candidate from consideration for appointment.

The assistant teacher recruitment circular was published in November 2025, triggering a large response from aspiring teachers across the country. The process that followed included multiple stages of scrutiny, examinations, and verification, extending over several months before reaching this final outcome.
