Samsung Galaxy devices offer several ways to turn still images into moving visual effects, including Live effects, Photo Ambient Wallpapers and motion-photo tools that can create animated stickers or GIFs.

Samsung’s support guide says Live effects can animate a photo in the Gallery app. Users can select a photo, swipe up for more details and choose 3D photo, after which Galaxy AI can generate zooming, panning or swivel effects on compatible devices.
The same guide says Photo Ambient Wallpapers can add live weather animations to a selected photo on the Lock and Home screens. The effect can reflect conditions such as rain or sunlight, and Samsung says availability depends on the device, software version and Android 14 with One UI 6.1 or higher for the listed Galaxy AI features.
A Samsung mobile software notice adds that users can choose a photo for Photo Ambient Wallpaper and see it change with local time and weather. It also says users can touch and hold an object from a motion photo to turn it into an animated sticker or GIF.
The phrase motion photo animated wallpaper samsung combines several related features rather than naming one universal setting. Samsung Canada says the real-time weather wallpaper feature requires One UI 8 on supported models, so users should check their phone model, software version and regional availability before looking for the option.
