The samsung galaxy s26 ultra could soon arrive with a higher price tag, according to fresh leaks from South Korea. While Samsung has not officially confirmed any pricing details, a new report suggests that the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup may see its first flagship price increase in nearly three years, driven largely by rising component costs.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Price Leak

As per a report by ETNews, the Galaxy S26 series — expected to include the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the samsung galaxy s26 ultra — may debut at increased starting prices in Samsung’s home market.

The samsung galaxy s26 ultra is tipped to start at around KRW 1.8 million (roughly Rs 1.13 lakh) for the 256GB variant. The 512GB model could be priced close to KRW 2 million (approximately Rs 1.26 lakh).

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26+ is expected to begin at nearly KRW 1.5 million (around Rs 94,000) for the base model. The standard Galaxy S26 could reportedly start at about KRW 1.3 million (roughly Rs 82,000). If these figures hold, the lineup may see a price increase of around KRW 99,000 (close to Rs 6,000) compared to the previous generation.

Why Prices May Increase

The expected price revision, including that of the samsung galaxy s26 ultra, is reportedly linked to rising costs of key smartphone components, particularly DRAM and NAND memory. Industry data indicates that memory prices have surged over the past year, increasing their share in overall smartphone production expenses.

With brands also pushing advanced AI-powered features and stronger hardware, absorbing these higher component costs may not have been feasible. Samsung had maintained stable flagship pricing across multiple generations, but current market conditions appear to have made a revision necessary.

Interestingly, the report notes that Samsung may introduce a double-storage pre-order benefit. Under this offer, buyers of a 256GB variant — including the samsung galaxy s26 ultra — could receive a complimentary upgrade to the 512GB model during the early sales window, a move often used to ease concerns over higher pricing.

The samsung galaxy s26 ultra is expected to launch with a noticeable price increase, alongside the rest of the Galaxy S26 lineup. Reports suggest rising memory component costs are behind the hike, though Samsung may offset the impact through limited-time storage upgrade offers.
