Samsung Raises Prices on Galaxy A, F and M Series in India

By Tarek HasanAugust 9, 20262 Mins Read

Samsung has raised prices on several of its budget Galaxy A, F and M series phones in India, pushing up the cost of some of its most popular entry-level models just as festive season shopping picks up.

The steepest increase hits the Galaxy A17 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which now costs 32,000 rupees, up from 29,000 rupees. The 6GB/128GB variant of the same phone rose by 1,000 rupees to 23,500 rupees, while its 8GB/128GB version climbed by 2,000 rupees to 26,500 rupees.
The Galaxy A07 4G also got more expensive. Its 4GB/64GB configuration rose by 2,000 rupees, and the 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB versions each went up by 1,500 rupees, according to Samsung’s revised India price list.
Samsung has not issued a detailed public statement explaining the increase, but industry reports tie it to rising costs for memory chips, a pressure that has been building across the smartphone supply chain through 2026. Component suppliers have flagged tighter DRAM and NAND flash supply for much of the year.
This is not Samsung’s first price adjustment in India this year. The company also raised prices on several Galaxy M and F series phones earlier in 2026, part of a pattern of incremental hikes rather than one large jump.
For buyers, the change means older stock at the previous prices, where retailers still have it, is now the cheaper option. Samsung has not said whether further increases are planned for the rest of the year, and the company’s India retail arm has not responded publicly to questions about the timing.
The price hikes land in a competitive corner of the Indian market, where budget and mid-range phones from Xiaomi, Vivo and Realme compete hard on price. Any sustained increase from Samsung gives rivals room to undercut on entry-level models, though brand loyalty and after-sales service continue to matter to a large share of Indian buyers.
