Jannik Sinner crushed Novak Djokovic 6-4 6-4 6-4 in Friday’s Wimbledon semi-final, moving one match away from his second straight title. The Italian was relentless, winning 88 percent of points behind his first serve and hitting 16 aces. Djokovic had no answers.

This was clean revenge. Djokovic beat Sinner in five sets at the Australian Open earlier this year. Wimbledon is Sinner’s grass. He knows the court. He plays it better.
The Serve Was Everything
Sinner faced just one break point all match and saved it. His first-serve percentage was 88 percent effective. At that level, you’re not giving opponents chances. You’re pressing them into mistakes.
Djokovic returned serve at 40 percent. For a player who has survived on his return game for two decades, that’s a hole you can’t climb out of. Sinner didn’t let the rally develop. He dictated from the baseline and closed at the net when the chance came.
Sunday’s Final
Sinner faces Alexander Zverev on Sunday. Zverev dispatched Arthur Fery 7-6 6-2 6-4. It’s the matchup you didn’t predict when the tournament started, but it’s the one that emerged.
Sinner is the favorite. He’s defending champion, in form, and grass suits his game. But Zverev has proven he can beat anyone on any surface. If he plays the tennis he showed against Fery, this could be competitive.
The Generation Shift
Sinner eliminating Djokovic without real drama tells you something about where tennis is. Djokovic is 37, still competing at the highest level. But he’s not the favorite anymore. Youth and speed win on grass now.
Sinner represents the next guard. He’ll have multiple Wimbledons in front of him if he stays healthy. This is his court now.
Sunday’s final will determine whether Sinner’s grass dominance is real or just a good week. Zverev will make him prove it.
