The Stranger Things animated series season 2 has been renewed, and Netflix says new episodes of Tales From ’85 are due this fall. The renewal was announced by Netflix Tudum on April 28, while Variety reported that the first season premiered five days before the renewal news.

The animated show returns to Hawkins in the winter of 1985. Netflix says the Hawkins Investigators Club will face another paranormal threat connected to the mystery introduced at the end of Season 1. Showrunner Eric Robles described a new danger emerging from abandoned silver mines.
The Stranger things animated series season 2 release date search does not yet have a specific day listed in the official renewal article. Netflix gives a fall window rather than a confirmed calendar date. Viewers should therefore avoid treating a leaked date or social-media countdown as an official schedule.
Variety reported that the series is set between the second and third seasons of the live-action Stranger Things story. The publication also listed the returning voice cast and said the Duffer Brothers, Shawn Levy and other producers remain involved with the animated project.
Netflix Tudum said Season 1 is available to stream and that the wider Stranger Things universe continues to expand. The Season 2 renewal is confirmed, but episode count, exact release day and a full trailer should be treated as separate announcements unless Netflix publishes them. The current search trend reflects renewed interest in the next chapter rather than proof that a precise premiere date has been set.
