Many came forward to remove the darkness of the society. They go to work constantly. Nothing to want in return. Just want to change society. Harun Ar Rashid is one such warrior. He is a peddler of light. Working to enlighten the society. He has been delivering books from house to house for a long time. Villages, cities, ports – wherever you can. The light of civilization is running everywhere including schools, colleges, mosques, temples, roads, bazars.

The book-loving man was born in Gobaria village of Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj, he passed his post graduation from a private university and is currently working at Grameen Bank in Nawabganj. There is no end to his madness with books. Find the lost childhood in the scent of the pages of the book. There is no end to his work with books. Hundreds of local and foreign books have been reviewed online. Always thinking of spreading the word of the book. Working online as well as offline.

Going from house to house in the village, from house to house in the city, delivering books. Coming up with new books again at the end of the week. He brought old books. His work does not stop even during Corona. He is delivering books to the housebound people in compliance with the hygiene rules. When everyone is addicted to the virtual world, Book lover Harun Ar Rashid, carries books on his shoulders from village to village. He is giving books to everyone to bring people back to the world of books.

Harun Ar Rashid said that he is working to make the young society book oriented. He is handing over books to drug addicted youth. Bringing them back to the world of books incredibly. In the last ten years, he has brought back more than two hundred young people to the world of books. Books are being decorated in their hands. In addition, by reducing online addiction, a large part of the youth is brought back to the realm of books in this way.

The ever-running book-loving man is working tirelessly with the torch of civilization. He dreams of a civilized society. That is why he is making an outstanding contribution in building libraries in disadvantaged remote areas of the country. He collected money from the rich. With that money, open libraries are being set up in more than one region. Going to the salon or tea-coffee shop with books to read.

Harun Ar Rashid has another identity. He is also a writer. Not limited to just book promotions. An original thriller has been released at the 2020 Book Fair. His second book ‘Escaponer Tekha’ was published in Corona. The book has received a wide response from both readers. Waiting for some more books to be published. “I have a lot of dreams about books,” said Harun-ur-Rashid. I am happy to be able to act accordingly. I want to work with books all my life. In this way, I want to return the book-averse generation to the pages of the book.
