The vivo v70 5g has been unboxed following earlier impressions of its Elite sibling, revealing a compact design, camera-centric hardware and a large battery. The Alpine Grey unit ships with a 90W charger, USB-C to USB-A cable and a silicone case.

Design and build
The Alpine Grey finish changes tone depending on lighting — sometimes appearing light brown or slightly rosy — though in reality it combines a light grey back with a darker grey frame.
The vivo v70 5g features a 6.59-inch display and a sub-8mm body, giving it a comfortable in-hand feel. The design is balanced, with flat surfaces and gently rounded corners. According to vivo, the aluminum frame went through multiple polishing passes, resulting in a matte touch across most surfaces except the glossy display and camera lenses.
Cameras and imaging
The vivo v70 5g continues the V-series camera focus with Zeiss branding on the back. It includes:
- 50MP 23mm f/1.9 main camera
- 50MP 85mm f/2.7 zoom camera
- 8MP 21mm f/2.2 ultra-wide camera
All three cameras benefit from a customizable Aura ring flash.
On the front, the phone carries a 50MP 21mm selfie camera.
Battery and comparison
In hand, the device offers a solid presence and slightly resembles the Oppo Reno15 Pro in styling, though that model is marginally smaller and slightly more premium.
The vivo v70 5g packs a 6,500mAh battery designed to tolerate both hot and cold temperatures.

Pre-orders have opened in India, with shipping scheduled for February 26. The phone is also set to arrive in Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
