Vivo V70 Elite: Launch Timeline and Performance

The Vivo V70 series is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm chipsets. While the series is officially associated with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, Geekbench listings reveal a split in hardware. The standard Vivo V70 is expected to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, whereas the vivo v70 elite will feature the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

Display, Software, and Storage Details

One device in the series will come with a 1.5K Ultra Clear OLED display supporting 1.07 billion colours. It will offer a 120Hz Ultra-Fluid Motion refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits. The Vivo V70 series, including the vivo v70 elite, is expected to run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 out of the box, along with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

Camera Capabilities with ZEISS Optics

Camera hardware is a strong focus for the Vivo V70 lineup. The vivo v70 elite will feature a triple rear camera setup, all with 50MP sensors. This includes a 50MP telephoto camera, and all lenses are co-engineered with ZEISS.

Battery, Build, and Durability

Both devices in the series are expected to pack a 6500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging. The phones will likely feature an aluminium frame and come with IP68/69 ratings, positioning the vivo v70 elite close to the super-premium category in terms of build and durability.

Positioning in Vivo’s Lineup

Vivo recently launched the Vivo X200T 5G in India as a premium offering. The Vivo V70 series, led by the vivo v70 elite, is expected to sit just below it, offering high-end specifications with slightly toned-down chipsets.

The upcoming vivo v70 elite is shaping up to be a near-flagship smartphone with a powerful Snapdragon chipset, premium display, ZEISS-backed cameras, and a large fast-charging battery. With a February launch expected in India, the vivo v70 elite aims to bridge the gap between premium and flagship smartphones.
