Xiaomi has introduced the Gaming Mouse 2 through its Youpin platform, adding another entry to the increasingly competitive market for lightweight gaming peripherals. The wireless mouse is priced at 399 yuan, or about $58, with an introductory crowdfunding price of 349 yuan, roughly $51. Crowdfunding sales are scheduled to begin on May 11.

The company is positioning the device squarely toward competitive PC players, where lower weight and faster response times have become major selling points over the past few years. Xiaomi says the Gaming Mouse 2 weighs 58 grams, placing it among the lighter models currently targeting esports-focused users.
According to Xiaomi, the shell design was developed using grip data collected from competitive players. The shape is intended to support claw, fingertip, and palm grip styles rather than focusing on a single preference. Internally, the mouse uses what Xiaomi describes as a lightweight umbrella skeleton frame to reduce mass while maintaining structural rigidity and balanced weight distribution.
The Gaming Mouse 2 is equipped with a custom PixArt PAW3955XM sensor. Xiaomi lists the sensor specifications at up to 40,000 DPI, 750 IPS tracking speed, and 60G acceleration, figures that align with current high-end gaming mouse hardware. The company has also included an esports mode that raises the static scan rate beyond 20,000 FPS.
Users are able to make one-step DPI adjustments directly on the mouse, and Xiaomi says the unit is factory-calibrated with a DPI error rate below one percent. Additional tuning features include Motion Sync cursor tracking, five adjustable lift-off distance settings, a one-degree angle snapping system, and tracking support on glass surfaces thicker than 4mm.
Inside, the mouse runs on a Telink TL3228 dual-core controller. That hardware enables support for an 8000Hz polling rate in both wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes. Xiaomi says the mouse improves wireless reliability at higher polling rates by transmitting duplicate data packets through two channels every 125 microseconds.
For the primary buttons, Xiaomi has chosen TTC optical switches for the left and right clicks, while the scroll wheel uses a TTC gold encoder rated for two million cycles.
Connectivity options include wired USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 6.1. The device carries a 530mAh battery, with Xiaomi estimating battery life at up to 160 hours in 2.4GHz mode when operating at a standard 1000Hz polling rate rather than the maximum 8000Hz setting.
Settings such as DPI, polling rate, and sensor behavior can be adjusted through either a browser-based configuration tool or local software. Profiles and settings can also be stored directly in the mouseâs onboard memory.
