Xiaomi has officially launched the xiaomi redmi turbo 5 Max in China, bringing the largest battery ever seen on a Xiaomi smartphone. The new device packs a massive 9,000mAh battery, supports 100W fast charging, and runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Pricing starts at CNY 2,499 for the base variant, with multiple configurations and color options available.

Redmi Turbo 5 Max’s display, camera, and processor
The xiaomi redmi turbo 5 Max features a 6.83-inch 12-bit AMOLED display with M10 luminescent material. It delivers up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The panel supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and it also includes a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Powering the xiaomi redmi turbo 5 Max is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, making it the world’s first smartphone to use this processor. On the software side, the phone runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box. Xiaomi offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
In terms of cameras, the smartphone has a 20MP front-facing camera housed in a punch-hole cutout. The rear setup includes a 50MP primary camera with the Light Fusion 600 sensor and OIS support, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Other features include stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, dual SIM support, and an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.

Xiaomi has also included its P3 fast charging technology and the G1 battery management chip. A vapor chamber is present to manage heat during gaming sessions, though wireless charging is not supported.
The xiaomi redmi turbo 5 Max starts at CNY 2,499 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 12GB/512GB model costs CNY 2,799, while the 16GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB versions are priced at CNY 3,399 and CNY 3,999, respectively.
