Ubisoft’s AC Black Flag Resynced patch notes for Title Update 1.0.7 bring another round of gameplay fixes and visual options. The update was scheduled for September 1 at 14:00 UTC.
Download sizes vary sharply between platforms. Xbox Series X|S receives the largest package at 15.26 GB. The PlayStation 5 update is 1.53 GB. PC players face a 3.86 GB download through Ubisoft Connect and 2 GB through Steam.
One visible change concerns Edward Kenway’s weapons. Players can now hide his pistols through the game menu. Ubisoft had already provided an option for hiding the blowpipe.
Trinket perk effects can also be switched off. Those effects can add a noticeable glow around Edward. Players who prefer a cleaner character appearance can now disable them.
There is also a smaller addition hidden within the Caribbean. Ubisoft says players can rescue a furry companion somewhere in the game world. Finding and helping the animal may eventually bring it to the Hideout.
Much of Update 1.0.7, however, deals with bugs affecting normal play. Ubisoft addressed problems involving ships, fast travel, forts, Eagle Vision, Photo Mode and several quests.
Combat and boarding received a long list of corrections. Barrels shot during boarding should now affect morale properly. Problems involving assassinations, smoke bombs and enemy behaviour have also been addressed.
Several unusual gameplay bugs were included. Edward could previously become frozen during an air assassination under certain conditions. Enemies could sometimes ignore him after he landed on a ship during boarding. In another case, enemies could appear to rise again after a smoke bomb was thrown.
The update also fixes world map icons and some Photo Mode behaviour. Visual corrections cover parkour, assassination animations, ship equipment and graphical loading problems.
Stability work targets crashes involving the Store, News panel and Kenway’s Fleet menu. Ubisoft also listed a rare PlayStation 5 crash connected to entering an out-of-bounds area.
Accessibility changes cover color-blind settings, missing menu narration and gameplay captions. Audio fixes restore several missing sound effects, while save-related fixes address missing music and an issue involving Stede Bonnet.
Steam Deck users also receive a specific correction. Turning HDR on could previously result in a black screen.
Title Update 1.0.7 is therefore less about changing Black Flag Resynced itself and more about removing the problems players meet while moving through it. The option to hide pistols is easy to notice. Many of the smaller fixes may matter more during a long playthrough.
